kitchen monkey
i've been digging for marshmallow in my pint of phish food. my hands are freezing, and i am left unfulfilled. there's never enough marshmallow. i went out to buy a polaroid camera today. i've always wanted one, and i think this want has something to do with me never getting around to develop the countless rolls of film that i've stored in a bag over some substantial amount of time. no joke, i think i have about ten rolls to develop right now. that's like eighty dollars or something - not including double prints. yeah, i could just develop a few at a time, but, you see, i had no method when it came to storing these little rolls of 35 mm film, so i don't know which are which, meaning . . i don't know which ones have the good stuff and which ones are just me wasting film. eh, one of these days. so i now have a polaroid joycam. i was thinking about getting the i zone because those little sticky photos are so cute, and i was very set on getting one, but then i started to re-think this as i stood by the shelf staring at the cameras. i zone = not very practical and also, i think the more i stared at the back of the i zone box with all the cheesy ass hipsters trying to look spontaneous and shit with their i zone stickers stuck to their boots and, gosh, whatever else will they think of? i mean, my goodness, that's so fucking clever. . . . . bah. anyways, i didn't want an i zone anymore, so i went the way of the next size up. joycam. the photos are about half the size of a what you'd call a normal polaroid camera. it's neato. first photo: kitchen monkey. this little bugger has been hanging out in our kitchen since we moved in; although, i think he's made a huge mistake because from the looks of his clothing (note the hat w/ earflaps and scarf), one would think he was preparing for a cold, snowy day in maine. here, we keep the thermostat at 69f, baby. remember when 69 was funny?
