snow storm

we attempted to do some late night grocery shopping last night, only to find that the store was completely cleaned out. don't ever warn of a snow storm in eastern tennessee - the people go absolutely nuts and act as if they will be trapped in their homes for months. i should have seen this coming. at work in the video store earlier, the shelves were ransacked and left empty by the end of the evening. lord knows that the mere entertainment of one's family is not enough to get one through days spent inside due to the raging blizzard beyond the windows.
no, one must have at least five videos.

so grocery shopping was hardly successful. i had to make the frozen food guy (the night crew was furiously trying to get the shelves re-stocked for today), i had to make that poor guy go dig around in the "back" for some essentials:
33 cent burritos, pillsbury frozen biscuits (just like grandma never used to make), microwaveable frozen pizzas, etc.

at the banana stand, this was found.
