that's a really bad picture of the fireplace in my new room in my new apartment.
just thought i'd share that with the masses -
since i can't think of anything else that i could use to fill this space tonight.

after all of our visitors left last night, and after i had written the entry previous to this one, i started to seek out the company of strangers online. i talked to a couple of people for about thirty minutes, and then i remembered why i don't normally do that.

.

my old suitemate from freshman year, erin, and i used to look at online personals late at night when we couldn't find anything else to do.
notice how i said look instead of read; we never bothered with the ones without photos.
we would browse around a little - sometimes local people, sometimes not. sometimes foreign people, and then we would pick our favorite from that night and use his/her picture as erin's desktop wallpaper for the next week or so.
that was really bad; we shouldn't have been judging those people.
