space-oddity's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- moving time again i'm moving all of my shit to the new place all this week. slowly, slowly moving. and once i get my computer there, i will be without the fancy schmancy cable hookup, so there won't be another entry for a while after this one. hopefully not too long, though. i'll still have access to a dial-up account, but i'm not so sure if i'll want to use it. the new job is good so far. training is a butt, but so is life. anywho, they supply all the free hot tea and apple cider and coffee and hot cocoa you could possibly desire. the breakroom is this mecca of yummy hot liquids. hey, whatever keeps us happy. it's working so far.. and thank goodness for the hot liquids! i would have frozen my tushy off today if it weren't for them. why must office buildings keep the thermostat on freeze? and when it's so hot outside, too! it's july for goodness sakes. so from now on i will live by three words: layer. layer. and layer. tomorrow i will be ready to peel up and peel down. clay and i were signing our lease for the apartment this afternoon, and i asked the property manager the rules on painting the walls. he went on to tell me about this goth couple that used to live there. they were very quick to move out. they didn't even wait to drop off their keys; they just put them in the mailbox and skipped town that same day. when maintenance went to inspect the apartment, they were surprised (or maybe not) to see that the entire place had been painted flat black. even the chrome on the sink. and, no, it wasn't sloppy. the couple had meticulously painted every inch of that place, every nook, every cranny. what was wrong with these people? i mean, good grief. get a life. i just hope they had some sort of black magic on their side to aid them in their quest because anyone who thinks that it's worth the while to spend countless hours on painstakingly painting their entire apartment flat black is a fucking moron. anyways, we get to paint our apartment if we like, as long as when we leave, we paint it back. not black. 12:05 am - 07.16.02 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
