space-oddity's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- sexual offenders we have a beautiful, thick green patch of trees behind our apartment, and on the other side, is a paved walking trail. apartment management slipped a note by our door the other day to let us know about reports of a man jogger who peeps into people's apartments and touches himself. now we're having to be extra careful about the blinds and whatnot. it sucks. i kind of like having them open all the time, so i can look out and see the trees whenever. damn those pervs! i looked at this site before we moved into our apartment last year. not that i'm afraid a sexual offender will just pop out from behind the bushes and get me or anything. well, actually i am a little now because of the recent events. anyway, i was just curious. there weren't any offenders in my area. i was actually kind of disappointed. in a weird way i was looking forward to tracking someone down and pointing and saying, "that's him. that's the perv." i don't know why. i did look up my dad's area in my hometown, and there is actually a registered offender that lives on the other side of his block. woo. the man was taken in for incest. my dad doesn't live in a bad, trashy neighborhood or anything. we just live in tennessee. a friend at work gave me some audrey hepburn stamps today. they're so pretty. i don't want to use them. i can't believe she's been dead long enough to have her face printed on a postage stamp. 11:52 pm - 06.18.03 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
