space-oddity's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- notes from work tired of being a loop. disturbing how condescending people can become when they think they're speaking with a subhuman. they simplify their speech into blunt, short sentences and fragments because they assume you are barely capable of communicating with a series of grunts. it is all very imperative. no benefits of the doubt. because i am only a mere trained monkey wearing a headset staring blankly at a computer screen all day with all the other trained monkeys in my row . . this should not be a judgement of my character and intelligence. i am very literate and aware. that's all i am saying. thank you. my pen is running out of ink. there is a lady. we share a common interest. red shoes. except she wears hers, and i hardly ever have the nerve. i see her walking with her olive green trousers and her red leather mary janes. she, a kindred spirit, has also discovered the beauty in the combination that is green with red. there is an agreement between these colors. they have harmony. i once asked to be the saucer to your cup and the green to your red. i still feel that way. i am bored and at work. new order, reorder, or change to previous order. i've been censoring for the sake of others. i learned the importance of this a long time ago. it was a lesson on tact. it was. in this class, i used to argue. i argued that tact was useless and dishonest, a shallow camouflage for true feelings, never truly gracious. i, myself, had not actually believed in what i was saying, for i was just arguing for the sake of the debate - to propose a different way of thinking. i wanted to be a pensive wedge into your conscience. those were decent times. my behavior shocks me now. the weather is wonderful. talk to people in riddles. be mysterious.
