layaway

so shadab's lab table in the back of keith's truck is making things more and more difficult everyday.
at this moment, there is absolutely no furniture in our living room. the stairway that leads up to our apartment is so narrow at points that it's nearly impossible to get a sofa up here. so now we're thinking that we'll just have to get futons because they're about the only thing that will collapse to a small enough size that can fit through our stairway,
which brings me to wal-mart.
wal-mart has these metal futons on sale right now for $99, and the sale ends on tuesday. we went this morning to check it out - only to find that there's no way that thing will fit in keith's truck with the table still in it - but, oh my goodness, we want to buy the thing at sale price - so what do we have to do?
we have to put that shit on L A Y A W A Y.
we would go ahead and buy it, but it's really strange - the store will only hold things that were paid in full for 24 hours,
but if you put it on layaway, they'll hold it for 60 days at no additional cost.
yeah, sounds kind of backwards, but that's what we had to do.
layaway.
so as long as it doesn't take shadab 60 days to get the table, then i guess we're fine.

i've never used layaway before. it weirds me out, but it's a good thing, nevertheless.
